Why Run the Pier?

Not only are you and your friends/family outside getting exercise and fresh air during the nicest time of the year in Michigan, but you are contributing to a charitable event that focuses on raising funds for local causes.

Plus the race day will provide an additional opportunity to potentially increase commerce to the downtown district through added attention, foot traffic and tourism.

Raising awareness of recreational opportunities in Manistee County as a form of economic development. Directly impacting the maintenance and development of trails in Manistee County through fundraising as part of the business model of running outdoor recreational events.

After Party Tent by Stomp out Cancer!

12pm-6:00pm Beer Tent Fundraiser

Stomp out Cancer will join us for Run the Pier! Crossing the finish line at Duffy Park for an after party and awards ceremony that will include music, drinks and a high vibe atmosphere! Yes Duffy Park. We have moved the start and finish of the race to accommodate for larger participation and to lessen the congestion at the start and finish. It also allows for the kind of vendor/sponsor event tent pre race and post race after party experience we have been wanting since the race developed.
